Johnny Wactor, the beloved actor best known for his role on “General Hospital,” has tragically passed away over the weekend. In an utterly senseless and heartbreaking event, Johnny was shot during a robbery attempt at the age of 37.
According to TMZ, Johnny’s mother, Scarlett, confirmed that her son was with a coworker when they noticed a group of men fiddling with his car. In a bizarre twist of fate, Johnny didn’t try to play hero or challenge the would-be thieves, but they shot him anyway before making a hasty getaway. The paramedics swooped in just after 3 am PT, but despite their efforts, Johnny was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Johnny Wactor’s career was nothing short of a TV buffet. With over 150 episodes on “General Hospital” under his belt, he also graced us with his presence on a slew of other shows, including “Station 19,” “NCIS,” “The Passenger,” “The OA,” “Criminal Minds,” and his debut gig on “Army Wives.”
Rest in peace, Johnny. You brought joy to our screens, and your absence will be deeply felt.
