The Californian melodrama starring pop producer extraordinaire Diplo (aka Thomas Wesley Pentz) and his legal nemesis, Shelly Auguste, is back for another encore – and this one’s even more dramatic than a key change in a power ballad!
In a plot twist that’s juicier than a pineapple on a pizza, Shelly Auguste is pointing fingers at Diplo, accusing him of engaging in the not-so-harmonious act of distributing revenge porn. Yep, you heard it right – revenge porn, the scandalous remix of a failed relationship.
This isn’t Shelly’s first rodeo in the legal circus with Diplo. The pair has been locked in a legal tango since 2020, and this time, Shelly is cranking up the volume with a fresh accusation filed with the Los Angeles Police Department. According to Shelly, Diplo allegedly hit her with a surprise drop – nude pics without her consent. Talk about a remix gone wrong!
The legal tracklist includes hits like sexual battery, gender violence, intentional intrusion into private affairs, battery, assault, defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and fraud. Diplo countersued with allegations of stalking, trespassing, and the unauthorized distribution of his private materials. Freedman, fired back in true legal rockstar fashion, telling Pitchfork, “For more than three years, Shelly Auguste has been orchestrating an ongoing smear campaign against Wes – and this is just more of the same.” It’s like he’s describing a never-ending remix of legal battles, and we’re all stuck on repeat.
