Nope, she says he belittled, terrorized, and (brace yourselves) sexually abused her. Yikes, that escalated quickly.
But wait, it gets worse—like, “soap opera villain throwing champagne in your face” worse. Dawn also claims she witnessed Diddy giving his ex, Cassie, a not-so-affectionate love tap. Oh, and by “tap,” we mean full-on beating her up. Allegedly. Diddy must have a thing for violent apologies because after a video surfaced of him assaulting Cassie, he dropped a public apology video in May. You know, as one does. It’s like, “Oops, I beat up my ex. Let me hop on YouTube and say sorry.” Casual.
Making the Band or Making the Trauma?
Remember Making the Band? That 2004 MTV show where Diddy basically gathered a bunch of hopeful musicians and proceeded to crush their dreams like stale potato chips? Well, turns out, it was even more nightmarish than we thought. According to the lawsuit, Diddy wasn’t exactly handing out compliments. Instead of “Great job!” or “Nice harmonies!” he was reportedly calling female contestants things like “fat,” “ugly,” “bitches,” and—wait for it—“hoes.” Wow, just what every aspiring artist dreams of hearing, right? In another wild claim, Dawn says she saw Kim Porter (another one of Diddy’s exes) leaving a music studio in 2005 with a face that looked like it just lost a boxing match. Kim was crying, and frankly, the whole thing sounds like the worst music video plot ever. No word on whether Diddy tried to apologize to her on video too.
2009: Eggs, Drugs, and Stairs—Oh My!
Fast forward to 2009, when things really went off the rails. Dawn claims she personally saw Diddy high as a kite, tossing Cassie against a wall like she was a rag doll. Then, just when you thought it couldn’t get worse, he allegedly dragged her up a flight of stairs like some deranged escalator. Oh, and let’s not forget the pièce de résistance: He threw a scalding hot pan of eggs at her while shouting, “I’ve been asking you for my s**t! I can’t stand you, b**ch, you never do it right!” Imagine getting egged—by your boyfriend, no less—and still having to explain why you didn’t leave sooner. “But the omelet game was on point!”

Dawn says she and her bandmate, Kalenna Harper, decided to play superheroes and advised Cassie to leave the relationship. Big mistake, apparently. Diddy wasn’t having it. He allegedly went full-on mob boss, telling them, “Y’all b**ches don’t get in my relationship. Don’t tell my b**ch what she need to be doing… Just make money and shut the f**k up… I end artists… I shelve careers… You could be missing… You b**ches want to die today?”
Whoa. Okay, first of all, that’s some serious James Bond villain energy right there. Second, I didn’t know Diddy shelved careers like he was stocking a Walmart aisle. Does that make him the Grim Reaper of the music industry?
Dawn vs. Diddy: The Plot Thickens
Dawn also dropped some other bombshells, like being forced to rehearse for 48 hours straight with no sleep. (Talk about dedication! Or… cult-like abuse? You decide.) She said she was so exhausted, dehydrated, and rash-covered, she could’ve been mistaken for a zombie extra on The Walking Dead.
And things just kept spiraling into straight-up horror-movie territory. Dawn alleges that Diddy once demanded she come to his Miami home, where he greeted her… in nothing but his underwear. (Cue awkward elevator music.) When she asked him to, you know, put on some clothes like a normal person, he reportedly screamed, “This is my f**king house!” Yes, Diddy, we get it. No need to throw a tantrum just because someone asked you to wear pants.
The Dressing Room Incident
Oh, but we’re not done. Between 2009 and 2011, Dawn says Diddy barged into her dressing room while she was naked. And no, he wasn’t there to help with wardrobe choices. Instead, he allegedly inappropriately touched her breasts and butt, as if he were some sort of creepy fashion critic from hell.
Locked In a Car: The Final Showdown
In a scene straight out of a really dark Fast & Furious movie, Dawn claims Diddy locked her in a car with tinted windows for two hours as she screamed for help. Like, who does that? When her dad got wind of the situation, he reportedly raced from Baltimore to New York to free his daughter, like some kind of superhero dad. Diddy, being the calm, reasonable person he totally isn’t, allegedly threatened him with, “Think about your daughter’s career.” Translation: “Don’t mess with me, or I’ll snap my fingers and make her disappear from the charts.”
Just another chapter in the never-ending saga of Diddy’s drama-filled existence. At this rate, the next season of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit might as well be a Diddy biopic.
