Colin Jost found himself in the ultimate roast-off with his lovely wife Scarlett Johansson on the latest episode of Saturday Night Live, thanks to the mischievous Michael Che.
In a holiday tradition of swapping jokes on Weekend Update, Michael unleashed a barrage of zingers aimed squarely at the Black Widow herself, and let’s just say, it was a marital showdown for the ages.
Colin, with a mischievous glint in his eye, read out Michael’s punchline gem: “New York state now allows movie theaters to serve alcohol, which is how I’m finally able to enjoy my wife’s little art movies.” Cue the uproarious laughter and applause from the audience.
He quickly added, “I’m kidding, honey. I love all of your movies, and if you ask me, you’re an even better Black Widow than Coretta Scott King. Yeah, Martin Luther King Jr.’s wife got nothing on you!”
And that was just the warm-up. The comedic crossfire continued with jokes about Beyonce allegedly trying a new skincare routine (because who wouldn’t want to look flawless even during a pandemic), Michael Jackson’s unexpected appearance, and a legislation called The Adult Survivors Act, making us wonder if adulting has now become a full-contact sport.
