Channing Tatum recently opened up about a, let’s say, “memorable” pool party incident that could have been pulled straight from a sitcom script. While promoting his latest flick Blink Twice (which was apparently filmed in Mexico, aka the land of tacos and surprise tummy troubles), he sat down with Buzzfeed alongside co-star Zoe Kravitz to spill the teaβand pool water.
It all started innocently enough, as most good horror stories do. βRemember that party, Chan?β Zoe chimed in, probably smirking like she was in on a joke. βYou and Simon Rex were wrestling in the pool like two oversized toddlers, and then… you guys swallowed pool water.β
Cue the dramatic pause. βWe were in Mexico, remember? You know what comes next. You were puking your guts out!β Ah, yes. The universal sign of a top-tier vacationβvomiting profusely while regretting all of lifeβs decisions.
βYeah,β Channing admitted, probably still having flashbacks. βFor 12 hours straight. I couldn’t leave the bathroom. I basically lived in there.β
And if you think thatβs bad, hold onto your swim trunks. βThe doctor had to come over and give me a shot in the butt to fix it all,” Channing added. Because apparently, when life gives you lemons, Mexico gives you… shots in the butt?
But letβs not forget the silver lining. Zoe, ever the optimist, summed it up with a cheeky grin, βIt was a sick party.β Pun most definitely intended.
Of course, the internet quickly diagnosed poor Channing with a classic case of “Montezumaβs Revenge,” otherwise known as Travelerβs Diarrhea, which is basically a fancier way of saying “your stomach hates you now.”
So, the moral of the story? If you’re planning on wrestling in a Mexican pool, maybe keep your mouth closed.
