Brandy is out here working overtime to promote her new flick, The Front Room, like she’s got rent due tomorrow. And honestly, can you blame her? When you’re known as “The Vocal Bible,” your entire life is practically Oscar bait. Move over, Scorsese!
So, in the middle of talking about her new A24 thriller (yes, another A24 hit, because clearly, they can’t miss), the subject veered to one of life’s biggest questions: Who on earth would play Brandy in the inevitable biopic about her life?
After what we can only imagine was a moment of deep reflection and popcorn munching, Brandy—also known as B-Rocka for those who are hip with the times—dropped this bombshell: “Halle Bailey.”
That’s right! She wants the Little Mermaid herself to play her. Because if you’re going to have someone sing, act, and possibly sprout fins while reenacting your life, it might as well be Halle, right?
Do we agree? Who cares! We’re all just waiting for the A24 cinematic universe to deliver!
