Tom Cruise just made a grand entrance that even Mission: Impossible couldn’t top!
The 62-year-old action superstar decided to go full Tom Cruise at the 2024 Paris Olympics closing ceremony, proving once again that he’s either an adrenaline junkie or has a contract with gravity. Picture this: Tom swinging into Stade de France like he’s auditioning for a new circus act—his entrance was so dramatic that even the Eiffel Tower did a double-take.
In a move straight out of a spy movie, Tom plummeted from the roof of the colossal stadium, landing gracefully on stage as if he’d been practicing his stunt landings on the moon. He was greeted by L.A. Mayor Karen Bass, who was casually hanging out with the Olympic flag while Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo tried to keep her cool.
But the excitement didn’t stop there. Tom, ever the showman, hopped onto a motorcycle with the flag fluttering behind him like a cape. He roared through the Parisian streets, not caring about traffic laws or pedestrians, before doing a dramatic drive-up into a helicopter. Because why not? He then parachuted from the helicopter, landing right by the Hollywood sign. There, he made the Olympic rings look like they were fresh off a craft store shelf.
With a flourish, he attached the rings to the sign and shot off a selfie with the caption: “Thanks, Paris! Off to LA!” Clearly, Tom Cruise believes in making every exit as epic as his entrance.
