The Studio is officially coming back for a second season! Yep, you read that right. The show that had us all cackling and questioning our life choices is returning to Apple TV+ to give us more of Seth Rogen’s hilarious struggle with insecure studio execs, eccentric artists, and corporate bigwigs that are more obsessed with PowerPoint presentations than actual films.
Created by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, The Studio first dropped its chaotic brilliance on March 26, with Rogen playing Matt, the poor guy just trying to juggle his crippling self-doubt while dealing with people who think “filmmaking” is a game of Monopoly. Also starring in this comedy gem are Catherine O’Hara, Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz, and Chase Sui Wonders. Together, they make one big dysfunctional family at a movie studio… and it’s the funniest mess you’ll ever binge.
“We’re super stoked to be making a second season of The Studio,” said Seth and Evan in a statement that sounded like they were high-fiving themselves. “We’re going to take everything we learned from season one and immediately throw it into season two, then do it again for 10 more seasons. We’re also excited to keep our industry friends and colleagues on the edge of their seats, wondering which one of their personal drama-filled stories we’ll air next on Apple TV+.”
Translation: The Studio is basically a love letter to Hollywood chaos… and we’re here for it.
So, yeah. Season two is coming. Prepare yourself for more awkwardness, more self-loathing, and a lot more of the kind of humor that makes you feel like you’re watching someone else’s therapy session, but in the best way possible.
