Sabrina Carpenter just rolled out the red carpet for her buddy Jack Antonoff, showing us all how to be a BFF extraordinaire.
In a Rolling Stone chit-chat, Carpenter jumped to Antonoff’s defense faster than you can say “monopoly” after he got flak for his signature style dominating Taylor Swift’s latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department” (yes, that’s really the name).
Carpenter didn’t hold back, throwing some serious shade at the haters: “F**** them all,” she declared, adding, “I think he’s one of the most talented people I’ve ever met.” Translation: Y’all can just take a seat.
The singer, who we all know can brew a mean cup of espresso, gushed about Antonoff like he was the last avocado at Whole Foods. This guy has worked with everyone from Lana Del Rey to Lorde, Florence and the Machine, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Clairo. It’s like the ultimate squad goals.
“When he’s in a room, he’s like a magical instrument whisperer,” Carpenter swooned. “He touches anything, and it just sounds… enchanted.” Okay, so maybe she didn’t say “enchanted,” but you get the picture.
She also spilled the beans on their shared work ethic: “He also works very fast, which I really appreciate because I work very fast.” Speedy Gonzales and Road Runner in the studio? Sounds like a hit factory.
Carpenter, who was a superstar opener for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, shut down those juicy feud rumors with the queen of pop herself. After teaming up with Kim Kardashian, some folks speculated there might be some bad blood. But Carpenter set the record straight: “I’ve been super chatty with Taylor about all that drama, and I just adore her. We’re ride or die.”
Sabrina Carpenter is here to remind us all to support our friends, work fast, and not let a little thing like the internet get in the way of true friendship.
