Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, is gearing up for a royal rendezvous back in the UK next month. But will he be making a pit stop to check in on his dear ol’ sister-in-law, Kate Middleton? Well, hold your breath because the odds aren’t looking too hot!
According to the grapevine, Harry’s got a date with destiny at St. Paul’s Cathedral on May 8th for a jolly ol’ Service of Thanksgiving to celebrate a whole decade of the Invictus Games. But as for popping by Kate’s palace to see how she’s holding up? Don’t bet the crown jewels on it!
Royal expert Tom Bower, bless his heart, seems to think Harry’s more likely to schedule a playdate with a unicorn than swing by to see Kate. “I’m sure he won’t see Kate,” he says with all the certainty of a fortune teller reading tea leaves. But fear not! His royal highness isn’t completely heartless. Bower reckons Harry might throw a princely visit King Charles’ way, just to remind everyone that he’s still, well, royal.
Noted royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams chimes in, painting a picture of royal rifts so deep they could give the Grand Canyon a run for its money. “Katherine is undergoing preventative chemotherapy treatment,” he reveals, “and given how deep the rift is, to me it seems unlikely.” Well, isn’t that just the cherry on top of this royal sundae of drama?
But hold onto your knickers, because here’s the kicker: despite all the royal kerfuffle, Harry and his better half Meghan actually did reach out to Kate after she spilled the tea on her health struggles. They even put out a public statement, sending her all the good vibes and well wishes. So, hey, maybe there’s hope for these royals yet! Or maybe they’re just polishing their crowns for the next big showdown. Only timeโand possibly a royal reality TV showโwill tell!
