Pamela Anderson has officially traded in the Hollywood glam for cozy Canadian vibes—and honestly, she couldn’t be happier. The 57-year-old icon has hit the refresh button, moving to Vancouver and leaving behind the sun-drenched chaos of Tinseltown for something a little more, let’s say… chilly and maple-scented.
In a chat with Women’s Wear Daily, Pamela spilled the beans on her self-discovery saga. “It’s like a homecoming, but with more flannel and fewer paparazzi,” she said, laughing in what we assume was a rose garden, surrounded by birds chirping and probably a Mountie or two in the background. “I just needed to remember who I was—like, the real me, not the Hollywood version that was all silicone and slow-motion beach running.”
Apparently, this epiphany hit her in her rose garden (because of course Pamela Anderson has a rose garden, and you know it smells incredible). And while some of us get our big life realizations after binge-watching Netflix or burning toast, Pamela had hers in the presence of roses. “I didn’t want all the Hollywood chaos and mishaps to define me,” she said, “I wanted to define me. By the way, that’s some Oprah-level wisdom right there.”
Back in August, she gave another scoop to Better Homes & Gardens, confessing she’d “kinda given up” on Hollywood. “I was just like… meh,” she shared, which, honestly, we get. Who among us hasn’t “meh-ed” our way out of something? She said she was ready for a change, and so, like any rational person, she relocated to the land of moose and maple syrup, where she could be “far, far away” from the expectations people had of her.
She added that over the years, she’s started to feel like a totally different person. “I don’t know what happened,” she said, “but it’s like I woke up and realized, wait, I’m more than just slow-motion runs and that infamous red swimsuit!” Apparently, those old Hollywood vibes had her feeling “sad, lonely, and misunderstood,” which sounds like a whole lot of us after a bad breakup with Netflix and carbs.
Anderson even hinted at a little regret, saying her life had sometimes felt like one long series of “oops” moments. But did she get specific? Nope. Because Pam’s not here to dish about her mistakes—she’s already lived them, thank you very much. What’s important is how she feels about those mistakes now. “People think of me as the ultimate ‘pneumatic’ blonde bombshell,” she joked, hinting at her days as a Playboy cover girl, a Baywatch icon, and, well, Tommy Lee’s plus one on a crazy rollercoaster. “But honestly? I played into that image. And I’m not mad about it, but I’m also not that girl anymore.”
Now, she says she’s just glad she survived the whirlwind, and honestly, she seems as zen as a retired beach goddess living her best life in the Canadian woods. “It’s a relief to just be me,” she said. And if being her involves rose gardens, snow-capped mountains, and zero drama? We’re all in for it, Pam!
