Nadya Suleman, the woman who made headlines by turning her womb into a luxury condo for eight newborns back in January 2009, is now welcoming her first grandchild into the world. And she’s only 49! Talk about efficiency; she’s out here collecting kids and grandkids like they’re rare Pokémon.
Nadya, who’s been running her own personal daycare since 2009, broke the news on Instagram on Monday, September 23. In classic grandma style, she posted a photo of the newborn’s foot because, let’s be real, no one can resist tiny baby feet. That’s Instagram gold right there. In her caption, Nadya gushed, “Thank you, my son and my lovely daughter-in-law, for this beautiful gift!” (Cue collective awwws.) It’s unclear which son made her a grandma since, with a total of 14 kids, guessing is like playing human bingo. Place your bets, everyone!
“We are so blessed that she is a new addition to our family!” Nadya continued, likely calculating how many more stockings she’ll need for the holidays. “Baby girl, you are so very loved, and we can’t wait to watch you grow!!” Spoiler alert: This baby has about 15 aunts and uncles, so expect some very competitive babysitting.
For those who missed the 2009 media frenzy (what rock were you under?), Nadya became the world’s most famous mom when she welcomed a set of octuplets—yes, eight babies at once—who all managed to make it through to toddlerhood without forming a baby union to demand better working conditions.
