Our favorite blue speedster is zooming back into theaters this holiday season. That’s right, Sonic the Hedgehog is back to make your Christmas extra fast! Get ready for Sonic the Hedgehog 3, where running at 1,000 mph is the least crazy thing happening. Because guess what? Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails are teaming up again! Yes, it’s like The Avengers, but with more fur, fewer capes, and a lot more chili dogs.
Here’s the lowdown:
Sonic’s got his spiky blue quills in a twist because there’s a new villain in town. Enter Shadow—he’s dark, he’s edgy, and he’s got more attitude than a teenager who’s just been told to clean their room. Sonic and his pals are ready to throw down, but here’s the catch: Shadow’s packing some serious powers that make Sonic look like he’s been running in slow motion. And yes, Knuckles is still punching first and asking questions never, while Tails is probably building a rocket out of, like, paperclips and optimism.
With Team Sonic getting absolutely schooled in the superpowers department, they have to recruit some help. That’s right, the fate of the world depends on whether these furballs can form a study group to take down Shadow. Will they succeed? Or will Sonic’s next fastest move be straight to a therapy session to unpack all this chaos?

Director Jeff Fowler returns for another spin on the chaos coaster, and the cast is seriously stacked!
We’ve got the legend Jim Carrey back (probably doing something even wackier than in the last movie), Ben Schwartz as Sonic, James Marsden as the confused human friend (again), and Idris Elba, who is still the coolest echidna ever. Colleen O’Shaughnessey is our beloved Tails, and Keanu Reeves—yes, THE Keanu Reeves—is coming in hot as Shadow, because why not? Who else could possibly voice a brooding hedgehog with a personality darker than a cup of espresso?
There are also newcomers like Alyla Browne and Krysten Ritter, which means even more characters to love, or possibly be confused by!
