Friday morning (July 12) brought us a shiny new teaser trailer for the next Captain America movie. Marvel decided to sprinkle a little magic dust, and bam! We’ve got “Captain America: Brave New World” coming at us, with Anthony Mackie rocking the star-spangled suit as Sam Wilson.
Yes, that’s right, Sam’s back! Remember how he gracefully snatched the shield from Chris Evans? Now he’s taking names and kicking butt as the new Cap. We’re all so proud.
Here’s a taste of the chaos awaiting us: “After a chit-chat with the newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross, who is none other than Harrison Ford making his grand MCU debut, Sam gets tangled in an international mess. He’s got to figure out why everyone is losing their marbles before the evil genius behind it all makes the entire globe see red.”
In case you missed it, Sam, aka The Falcon, got promoted to Captain America in the 2021 finale of Disney+’s “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.” It was the biggest promotion since that time you got a 10% raise and a slightly bigger cubicle.
With Julius Onah calling the shots as director, the movie is also star-studded with Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Xosha Roquemore, Carl Lumbly, Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, and Tim Blake Nelson. Talk about a power-packed lineup!
So, mark your calendars, buy your popcorn, and prepare your hearts for “Captain America: Brave New World,” hitting theaters on February 14, 2025. Because nothing says “I love you” like a date night filled with superhero action and a side of global catastrophe!
