Oh boy, Marlon Wayans is letting the fur fly, and it’s not a hair-raising stunt in one of his comedies. This time, he’s taking aim at the self-proclaimed “Emperor of Mars,” Elon Musk, and his intergalactic drama over his trans daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson.
Marlon, who’s 52 but clearly younger at heart, had some seriously spicy words on the Club Shay Shay podcast. Apparently, he’s on the verge of “driving off a cliff”—metaphorically, of course—after hearing the zingers Musk threw at his 20-year-old daughter. It’s like Elon’s been using a GPS that’s leading him straight into the land of “Not-So-Great Parenting.”
“I’m not here for what he’s saying about his trans kid,” Marlon declared, like he’s auditioning for the role of “Most Outspoken Dad Ever.” “You don’t just throw your kid off the parental rollercoaster because of who they are. Love your offspring, people!”
Vivian, who’s one of Elon’s impressive baker’s dozen of kids, had her own fireworks display in July. She called her estranged dad everything from “delusional” to “pathetic” and even threw in “serial adulterer” for good measure. If Twitter had a boxing ring, it would be filled with their tweets right now.
Meanwhile, Marlon’s got a personal tale of transformation. Last November, he shared that his oldest, Kai, is transgender. Marlon admitted that learning about Kai was like discovering he’d been living in a sitcom and just got hit with the plot twist of the century. But after a week of emotional rollercoasters—essentially his own five stages of grief—he’s now basking in the glow of full parental acceptance.
“It was tough, like being the last person to find out the biggest secret at a surprise party,” Marlon chuckled. “But getting to acceptance is key. It took me a week, which felt like an eternity, but hey, I made it! Some people might never get there, but I’m proud to say that my child is still my baby, no matter what.”
