“Die With a Smile” is the new musical mash-up from Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars, and it’s so catchy you’ll be humming it in your sleep and possibly during your next job interview.
In the chorus, they croon, “If the world was ending / I’d wanna be next to you / If the party was over / And our time on Earth was through / I’d wanna hold you just for a while / And die with a smile.” Basically, they’re saying, “If it’s the end of days, at least let’s go out dancing and smiling.” Sounds like a plan, right?

I was chilling in Malibu, finishing my album, when Bruno, out of the blue, invited me over to his studio. It was like midnight—way past my bedtime. I staggered in, and boom! His new track hit me like a musical ton of bricks. We ended up pulling an all-nighter, writing and recording. Bruno’s talent is so off-the-charts, it needs its own zip code.
