Jonathan Majors’ New Movie ‘Magazine Dreams’ Proves That Lifting Weights Is Harder Than It Looks (and Sounds Way More Dramatic)

Buy Me A Coffee

Jonathan Majors is back, and this time, he’s trading in the drama for… even more drama, but now with extra muscle oil and aggressive grunting.

The first trailer for Magazine Dreams just dropped, and it’s basically an emotional rollercoaster wrapped in a bodybuilding competition. In this cinematic spectacle, the 35-year-old actor plays Killian Maddox, a man who has one goal in life: to flex his way into greatness. And by greatness, we mean the cover of a fitness magazine, which is basically the superhero cape of the weightlifting world.

💪 “You have to do something big and important, or nobody will remember you when you’re dead,” Killian says in the trailer, proving that he takes his gym sessions way more seriously than the rest of us, who just go to Planet Fitness for the free Wi-Fi and judgment-free pizza days.

The Plot: Muscles, Mood Swings, and Magazine Covers
According to the official synopsis, Killian is on a one-man mission to become a world-famous bodybuilder, but—spoiler alert—things don’t go according to plan. Instead of enjoying the glamorous life of a protein-fueled superstar, he’s stuck in an endless cycle of lonely workouts, strict meal plans, and the kind of personal turmoil that even a full tub of pre-workout powder can’t fix.

His relentless pursuit of six-pack stardom leads him into some serious self-destruction territory, but underneath all that bicep flexing, he just wants one thing: to be noticed. (Same, Killian. Same.)

When Can We Witness This Emotional Gym Saga?
Mark your calendars, because Magazine Dreams will be flexing its way into theaters on March 21, 2025.

This marks Jonathan Majors’ first movie release since his high-profile trial involving ex Grace Jabbari. He was found guilty of third-degree assault and harassment in December 2024, but a separate defamation and assault lawsuit was dropped by Grace the month before.

Drama? Check. Emotional weightlifting? Double check. Enough tension to make your biceps sore just from watching? Triple check.

Now, if you’ll excuse us, we suddenly feel inspired to do at least one push-up before pre-ordering our tickets. 💪🎟️
