While rubbing elbows in Park City, Utah, Jesse stopped by the Variety studio and graced the premiere of Hoops, Hopes & Dreams during the Shorts Programs 1. (Clearly, the man does not know how to take a day off.)
In an interview with Variety, Jesse gushed like a kid talking about their first crush: “It was a transformative part of my life. I loved doing Take Me Out. I loved being on Broadway and part of that community. I think about the play every day. I think about the experience every day.” That’s right—he’s not just reminiscing; he’s downright obsessed.
And apparently, Broadway hasn’t forgotten him either. “A couple offers have come in,” he revealed casually, like he’s not currently weighing life-changing roles. But he’s holding out for the one. “When I find the right thing, I’ll trust that feeling, listen to it, and be happy to be back on the boards.” (Translation: Broadway producers, bring your A-game if you want Jesse!)
However, it wasn’t all roses and standing ovations. Jesse admitted, “I loved everything about that experience. Well, not everything. It was incredibly difficult.” You know, just a minor detail. But even with the challenges, he’s all about that stage life and is ready to dive back in.
