Alicia Keys turned up the heat in Hell’s Kitchen for the 2024 Tony Awards, leaving the audience sizzling!
This Grammy-winning diva didn’t just bring her A-game; she brought out the big guns, surprise guest Jay-Z, to belt out “Empire State of Mind” with her during Broadway’s swankiest night on Sunday (June 16) at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center in New York City. Talk about bringing the house down!
The dynamic duo gave a performance that could only be described as *chef’s kiss*. Why, you ask? Because Alicia’s new musical, aptly titled *Hell’s Kitchen*, features her music and is loosely based on her own childhood. So, basically, we got a musical autobiography with a side of Jay-Z.
But wait, there’s more! The Hell’s Kitchen extravaganza also served up a piping hot medley from the show’s Tony-nominated cast members. Stars Maleah Joi Moon, Shoshana Bean, Kecia Lewis, and Brandon Victor Dixon dazzled on stage. And let’s give a special shoutout to Kecia Lewis, who snagged the award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical for her role as Miss Liza Jane. You go, Kecia!
