Hilary Duff, maestro of maintaining her fabulous shape amidst the chaos of holidays, spilled the beans on her festive fitness formula in a recent giggle-inducing tête-à-tête with Women’s Health.
With school events, birthdays, and a whirlwind of other stuff crowding her schedule, the Lizzie McGuire luminary quipped, “Our fall is like a marathon, but with more pumpkin spice lattes.”
Proclaiming her household as the designated hub for Thanksgiving and Christmas, Hilary chuckled, “It’s like I signed up for a full-time job as the official holiday hostess. Do I get a trophy for that?”
In her quest for pre-feast fitness, The Perfect Man starlet revealed, “Between all the munching and sipping, it’s like a sport. I treat it like a cardio warm-up – you know, lifting fork to mouth repeatedly.”
Ever the workout enthusiast, the 36-year-old sensation divulged, “My secret is catching those morning workout classes on holidays. It’s the only way I can justify the impending food coma.”
Hilary, known for her love of a good detox, confessed, “I like to get a little extra sweaty, you know, like I’m releasing the ghosts of holidays past through my pores.”
In a moment of sheer post-exercise bliss, she gushed, “That feeling when your skin is like, ‘Thank you for not turning into a couch potato,’ is just unbeatable.”
Keeping her family on their toes, the Never Let You Go maestro proudly shared, “Sundays are my tennis days. My husband and I smash balls together – metaphorically and literally.”
As for her preferred fitness flavor in her 30s, Hilary threw in, “Strength training is my jam. I’m not lifting crazy weights, but enough to keep my bones happy and my posture in check – you know, counteracting the hours spent hunched over our beloved screens.”
With a wink and a dumbbell curl, she concluded, “I may not be a bodybuilder, but lifting weights makes me feel like I could probably lift a moderately heavy turkey with ease. It’s all about balance, right?”
