Hailey Bieber’s Dad Stephen Baldwin Reacts To Her Giving Birth Amid Rift

Buy Me A Coffee

Stephen Baldwin is over the moon, launching into full grandpa mode after the arrival of his daughter Hailey Bieber’s first child. It seems like only yesterday she was stomping around in tiny designer shoes, and now she’s a mom herself! Time flies when you’re Bieber-ing.

Late on the fateful night of Friday, August 23rd (the moon was probably doing something cool, but who knows?), the world got the news drop we’ve all been waiting for: Justin Bieber, the man who brought us eternal classics like “Never Say Never” (and also helped reinvent the concept of a swoopy haircut), announced the arrival of their son. And the name? Brace yourselves… Jack Blues Bieber. That’s right, this kid is born to rock, or at least, to break hearts while strumming a guitar by age three.

In case you were wondering if Justin’s mom, the Twitter-savvy Pattie Mallette, was involved, she wasted no time jumping onto the social media stage formerly known as Twitter (now X, because apparently one letter is better than five). Pattie, always there with some mom-energy, exclaimed her undying love for little Jack Blues, already sounding like a #1 fan of the newest member of the Bieber dynasty:
“CONGRATULATIONS @justinbieber & Hailey. I LOVE YOU FOREVER BABY JACK!!” Which, let’s be honest, is probably what she’ll shout every time Jack successfully burps or coos.

And then there’s Stephen Baldwin. You know, that guy who starred in The Usual Suspects and is occasionally mistaken for Alec Baldwin’s distant cousin (he’s actually his brother, FYI). He reposted Pattie’s tweet and chimed in with a calm, cool, and collected: “Amen 🙏🏽 Congratulations to you and may God continue to bless our family.” A grandparent move if we’ve ever seen one.

But wait! The plot thickens. Hailey, in a dramatic twist, recently opened up about how she’s not quite as tight with her own fam these days. Cue the emotional piano music. “I’m not super close with my family at this point in my life,” she revealed, possibly while sipping something expensive. “I feel like I’m very independent. I’m my own individual now, and I’ve built my own family.” Translation: “I’m on a first-name basis with my hairstylist, barista, and personal chef. I’ve got this.”

But don’t worry, she hasn’t completely wiped her family memories from the hard drive: “When I look back on my childhood and how I grew up, I have very fond, beautiful memories,” she added, which is a nice way of saying, “Hey, no hard feelings, but I’m busy being Hailey Bieber.”

A grandpa, a baby with a name destined for a blues album, and a family trying to find balance between fame, fortune, and feelings. Stay tuned for Baby Jack’s debut single, “Pacifiers & PJs,” coming to a Spotify playlist near you.
