Glen Powell spills the beans (and his clothes) in his latest rom-com, Anyone But You!
Picture this: Glen, the 35-year-old daredevil, bravely bares it all in a scene that can only be described as a nudist nightmare. Co-star Sydney Sweeney is innocently standing by when, lo and behold, a spider decides to play hide-and-seek in Glen’s shorts. Cue the dramatic disrobing!
At the movie premiere on Monday night (December 11), Glen dramatically recounted the life-altering experience, claiming he “almost died” while shedding his inhibitions. “You just have to grip it and rip it on a scene like that,” Glen confessed to Variety, clearly a master of the art of disrobing. “You know you’re not going to leave that filming day looking cool, so you just have to embrace it.”
Glen, ever the cliffside Casanova, disclosed the perils of urgent cliffside stripteases. “Taking your clothes off on the side of a cliff in a hurry is not safe either,” Glen warned, sharing a cautionary tale. “Nobody talks about that safety issue on set, where I almost died falling off a cliff taking my pants off too fast. But it’s a really fun scene, so it was all worth it.”
Meanwhile, Sydney, the 26-year-old spider whisperer, had her own brush with doom when an eight-legged co-star sank its fangs into her. “There’s the spider itself, which actually bit me, and that was a whole thing,” Sydney recounted, probably wishing for a spider-free zone. “And then we have the part of Glen bending over and me checking to see if there are more spiders.” Ah, the classic “spider-checking” move on set!
Sydney, with her newfound arachnid expertise, cheekily added, “I’m very acquainted with Glen now.” Move over, Spider-Man; it’s the spider’s world, and we’re just living in it.
Prepare yourselves for the chaos, the nudity, and the spider-filled thrills—Anyone But You hits theaters on December 22. Arachnophobes, maybe sit this one out.
