Frankie Muniz—yes, our boy Malcolm, Agent Cody Banks, drummer legend, and now full-time NASCAR daredevil—just got real, raw, and emotionally race-track-wrecked on the internet.
In a heart-honest post on X (Twitter for the old-timers), 39-year-old Frankie peeled back the curtain and dropped this emotional engine check:
“If I’m being 100% honest… Mentally/emotionally I may be at a new low. Just wanted to say it out loud.”
Oof. That’s not just a red flag, it’s a full-blown caution lap. 🚧🏁
So what led our favorite child genius to feel like he’s running on empty? Well, over the weekend, Frankie’s NASCAR dreams hit a pothole the size of his IMDb page. During the Craftsman Truck Series at Rockingham Speedway in North Carolina, his vehicle experienced technical difficulties (translation: his car said “nah”) and he didn’t get to finish the race. The universe really said “you’re not the main character today.”
Now, if you’re thinking, “Wait, Frankie Muniz is a NASCAR driver?”—first of all, catch up. Second of all, yes! In January 2023, Frankie officially traded scripts for speed and became a full-time race car driver. Because when life gives you lemons, you throw on a helmet and hit 150 mph, obviously.
Oh, and did we mention he’s also a dad now? He and wife Paige Price welcomed their son Mauz (coolest name ever?) back in 2021. Between changing diapers and changing gears, Frankie’s been doing it all.
And guess what? He’s not done acting either. In a shocking twist that even Malcolm couldn’t have predicted, he’s coming back for a Malcolm in the Middle reboot! So yeah—he might be feeling low now, but with a comeback like that, the man is basically a phoenix in a fireproof suit.
So let’s all send Frankie a virtual hug, a pit crew of love, and maybe a fully functioning race car. He’s having a tough lap, but this guy’s got more comebacks than a 2000s pop diva.
Keep your chin up, Frankie. You might not have finished that race, but you’re still leading in the game of Life (™️).
If I'm being 100% honest… Mentally/emotionally I may be at a new low. Just wanted to say it out loud.
