The drama between Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose is juicier than a Georgia peach in July!
So, here’s the lowdown: Our favorite mullet-wearing, achy-breaky heartthrob Billy Ray, who’s now 62, got hitched to Firerose, a sprightly 35-year-old, back in October 2023. But faster than you can say “Yeehaw,” Billy Ray hit the brakes and filed for divorce by June 2024. He’s throwing around words like “irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct” like they’re confetti at a honky-tonk. Oh, and he wants the marriage annulled because of “fraud.” You can’t make this stuff up!
Rumor has it, Billy Ray suspected Firerose of using him as a human ATM. Apparently, she was all about that cash, no treble. But wait, Firerose isn’t going down without a fight! On June 14, she filed her own court docs, and boy, did she spill the sweet tea.
According to Firerose, she was gearing up for a major preventative double mastectomy surgery on May 24 after finding out she carried the BRCA1 gene mutation. And just when you thought things couldn’t get more dramatic, she says the days before her surgery turned into a wild rodeo of chaos. Billy Ray was allegedly dishing out verbal jabs like they were hotcakes at a Sunday brunch.
In her complaint, Firerose claims Billy Ray called her a “selfish f—ing bitch” whenever she voiced her concerns. As if that wasn’t enough, he kept accusing her of using him. With her big surgery date looming like a dark cloud, Firerose says she was too scared to leave or seek help, fearing Billy Ray would mess with her surgery or her recovery.
And here comes the plot twist: One day before her surgery, Billy Ray pulled a fast one and hit her with divorce papers. Talk about bad timing!
Firerose also mentioned in her documents that Billy Ray had been covering her health insurance since they got hitched, and she was counting on him to pay for her surgery. But surprise, surprise – Billy Ray decided to back out on his promise. On what was supposed to be her surgery day, Firerose found herself hunting for a new place to live, swimming in a sea of emotional distress.
She says she felt “unsafe” living with Billy Ray and denies all his accusations of inappropriate marital conduct. Looks like the achy breaky heart has turned into an all-out war of words.
