Ed O’Neill, everyone’s favorite TV dad, is dusting off his Hawaiian shirts and heading back to our screens—this time in a much fancier legal drama! Forget your neighborhood shoe salesman, Al Bundy. We’re talking courtroom action, scandal, and the occasional strut in power suits. Yup, the 78-year-old Modern Family legend has signed on to star in All’s Fair, a new Hulu series brought to you by the master of all things dramatic and extra, Ryan Murphy.
Now, before you start imagining O’Neill busting out his courtroom dance moves, let’s get to the juicy stuff. He’ll be joining a mega-glam cast that includes Kim Kardashian (because who doesn’t want a lawyer with a flair for Instagram-worthy outfits?), the incomparable Glenn Close (who could probably win any court case just by raising an eyebrow), and a few other fabulous folks like Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts, Sarah Paulson, Teyana Taylor, and the heartthrob Matthew Noszka. Basically, it’s like a Hollywood Avengers—but instead of saving the world, they’re serving subpoenas.
But wait, there’s more! Not only are Kim, Glenn, Niecy, Naomi, and Sarah starring in this “glossy and sexy adult procedural” (read: lots of smoldering stares and slow-motion walks), but they’re also pulling double duty as executive producers. Because why just star in a legal drama when you can run it, too? In the series, Kim will play a Los Angeles divorce lawyer running an all-female law firm, probably dishing out both legal advice and contour tips. We’re imagining her in every scene with a giant iced coffee in hand, saying, “I object… to those shoes, Your Honor.”
And while everyone is swooning over this powerhouse cast, we must pour one out for Halle Berry, who was originally supposed to join this star-studded courtroom battle but decided to drop out. Maybe she heard that Kim’s law firm was too fierce to handle. Who knows?
Ed O’Neill in a “sexy legal drama.” If you ever wondered what would happen if you combined courtroom intensity with the sass of an Instagram story, this show might just be your new obsession.
