On Wednesday (March 12), the ultra-cool, effortlessly stylish Haim sisters—Alana, Danielle, and Este—graced us with their new single, “Relationships” (or as we like to call it, “The Official Anthem of Questionable Dating Decisions”). And because these queens don’t do anything halfway, they also dropped a music video featuring Drew Starkey as the ultimate brooding ex-boyfriend.
The Plot: Love, Loss, and a Shirtless Moment We All Appreciate
The video follows Danielle (36) and Drew (31) as a couple going through the universal tragedy known as The Breakup™. While Danielle and her sisters dramatically shove her belongings into a car (a time-honored breakup tradition), she takes a sentimental stroll down memory lane. Cue the montage of happier times: laughter, romance, Drew Starkey looking devastatingly attractive.
Then, boom—we get the Moment of Moments: Drew Starkey, lying on the floor, completely shirtless, while Danielle rests her head on his chest, probably thinking, “Damn, do I really wanna break up with THIS?”
HAIM Calls Out Relationships for the Chaos They Are
As HAIM delivers their soul-crushing lyrics about love, regret, and the unavoidable train wreck that is modern romance, we all collectively nod in agreement:
