Taylor, never one to stay quiet (she’s got bridges to burn and people to call out, after all), swiftly (pun intended) addressed the deepfake fiasco. “Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site,” she said, possibly while side-eyeing her cats in disbelief. “It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation.” Which is a classy way of saying, “Bro, I don’t even like your music, let alone your policies.”
The Grammy-winning pop star didn’t stop there, though. She followed up with the perfect mic drop, reminding the world that combating misinformation is easy: just tell the truth. Which, to Trump, must sound like nails on a chalkboard.
