Cher is back in the studio, and things are about to get fabulous!
At 78 years young, the icon herself is working on not one, but two albums with her boyfriend, Alexander “A.E.” Edwards. She spilled the beans about this melodious adventure during the 2024 Cannes Film Festival’s amfAR Gala, and it sounds like we’re in for a treat.
After dropping her Christmas album in 2023, which was her first original release in a decade, Cher is gearing up to bless our ears once again.
“We’re going to start a new album,” Cher dished, adding a hint of her signature flair. “Well, we haven’t started yet, but hey, he’s going to produce it.”
And who’s this “he”? Oh, just Alexander, her multi-talented beau. He’s a producer, a writer, a music-making machine! He’s got the magic touch.
Cher’s excitement is through the roof. “Some of the songs Alexander gave me are fire! I’m pretty pumped,” she gushed. “He does everything, like a Swiss Army knife of music. When you’ve got something good, you can’t help but be thrilled.”
For those who missed the memo, Alexander is a big shot in the music world. He’s previously produced for Tyga’s label, Last Kings Records, so you know he’s got the chops.
