Camila Cabello recently cleared up some frosty rumors about her accessory choice at the 2024 Met Gala while chatting on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
In case your memory is as foggy as a winter window, the 27-year-old “HE KNOWS” singer strutted the red carpet carrying a purse made entirely of solid ice, complete with a rose chilling in the center.
Gossip gurus were quick to report that she had shelled out a cool $25,000 for this chilly accessory.
But hold your polar bears! Camila set the record straight with Jimmy, saying she definitely did not spend a small iceberg’s worth of cash on her bag. “I saw the rumor floating around online, and I was like, ‘Guys, it’s just frozen water,’” she laughed. “Seriously, you can DIY it in your freezer!”
She further explained, “The real cost is however much a glass of water and an Etsy rose sets you back.”
Despite its modest price tag, the icy clutch gave Camila the ultimate cold shoulder at the gala. She shared that it slipped off its chain just before she was supposed to be photographed.
In a moment of panic, Camila huddled with celebrity pals like Kaia Gerber and decided to carry the bag as a clutch instead. Though she managed to keep her cool, she joked, “I was more stressed than a snowman in a sauna!”
During her lively chat with Jimmy, Camila also performed her new hit single “I LUV IT” from her upcoming album, C,XOXO. To make things even more futuristic, she was accompanied by two robotic dogs.
