Beetlejuice is back, baby!
Hold onto your striped pants and get ready to giggle, because the trailer for “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” the long-awaited sequel to Tim Burton’s creepy-crawly classic, just dropped on Thursday (May 23).
Guess who’s back to cause more chaos than a toddler in a candy store? That’s right, Michael Keaton is reprising his role as the ghost with the most, Beetlejuice. Joining him are the ever-gothic Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz and the always fabulous Catherine O’Hara as Delia Deetz. But wait, there’s more! We’ve got fresh blood with Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, Arthur Conti, Jenna Ortega as Lydia’s daughter Astrid, and Willem Dafoe.
Here’s the lowdown: “After a surprise family kerfuffle, three generations of the Deetz clan make a not-so-voluntary return to their spooky digs in Winter River. Still playing hide-and-shriek with Beetlejuice, Lydia’s world flips faster than a pancake when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, stumbles upon the town’s creepy miniature model in the attic and, oops, accidentally opens a portal to the Afterlife. With trouble brewing in both worlds, it’s only a matter of time before someone blurts out Beetlejuice’s name three times, inviting the prankster poltergeist back to spread his special brand of bedlam.”
Mark your calendars, because “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” is storming into theaters and IMAX on September 6 nationwide, and internationally starting September 4.
Go watch the trailer and prepare for some serious afterlife antics!
