Sophia Bush is basking in birthday love from her girlfriend Ashlyn Harris, and it’s sweeter than a cake with extra frosting!
On Monday (July 8), the 38-year-old soccer pro who hung up her cleats, swapped goals for grams as she stormed Instagram with a flood of photos featuring her and the One Tree Hill actress, all to celebrate Sophia turning the big 4-2.
In the midst of this photo bonanza, Ashlyn poured out her heart with a side of syrupy sweetness, saying, “Happy birthday, beautiful. I hope today feels like winning the lottery while riding a unicorn over a rainbow. You are such a treasure in this world. Seeing you happy is like finding out pizza has zero calories. I love your heart, Soph… and your brain, and your left earlobe. Happy born day, baby.”
Naturally, Sophia couldn’t leave that love letter hanging without a response. She jumped into the comments faster than you can say “Instagram official.”
“Last year, I broke free like a bird out of a cage. This year, I stumbled upon the best love in the most unexpected place, like finding a twenty-dollar bill in an old pair of jeans,” Sophia typed with all the feels. “I may never recover from the sheer magic of it. Thanks for putting me back together like a puzzle master. For making my second birthday even better than my first (and I got a pony on my first!). And for reminding me what my unfiltered, snort-inducing laughter sounds like.”
Sophia wrapped it up with, “You are pure magic. You’re the best gift I’ve ever received. ✨”
