Oh, Kim Kardashian had one of those classic social media “Oops!” moments again! You know, the kind where you try to show off your TV-watching skills and accidentally tag the wrong Brody. Yep, on Monday (Sept. 30), the queen of selfies and all things glam tried to give a shout-out to her friend Erin Foster’s new Netflix show Nobody Wants This but managed to get lost in the Brody multiverse.
Kim, ever the binge-watcher, posted an Instagram Story, enthusiastically proclaiming, “Okay so I binged 4 episodes until I fell asleep! It’s sooooo good!!! I can’t wait to finish it! Must watch @erinfoster @sarafoster @kristenanniebell @adrienbrody @netflix.” Sounds like a rave review, right? Except there’s just one tiny problem—Kim didn’t mean to praise Oscar-winning actor Adrien Brody. Nope, she meant to tag Adam Brody! (Somewhere, Adam is wondering why his phone never lit up with a Kardashian-approved notification.)
Kim’s accidental shout-out didn’t go unnoticed by Adrien, though. Oh no, he wasn’t going to let this golden moment slip by. The 51-year-old actor, ever the cool cat, hopped on Instagram himself and shared a photo from the screening of his latest fancy film The Brutalist at the New York Film Festival. You could almost hear him chuckling as he posted, “I ♥️ NY! Thank you to The New York Film Festival and congratulations to the producers, cast, and crew for the incredible screening of THE BRUTALIST.”
But here’s where it gets good—Adrien, ever the gentleman, added a cheeky shout-out to Kim herself, casually dropping in, “Many thanks to @a24 and @kimkardashian 👏” with the kind of emoji clap that says, “I see you, Kim. Thanks for confusing me with some guy who used to be on The O.C.”
Adrien even tagged Kim in the post, just to make sure everyone knew he was in on the joke. Meanwhile, Adam Brody is probably sitting somewhere wondering if he should start tagging Kim in random posts to make up for the mix-up. Ah, the glamorous life of Hollywood, where even your Instagram mistakes can land you in a virtual Brody sandwich!
