Zendaya is officially moving into the Shrekiverse! That’s right, the 28-year-old superstar is stepping into the oversized shoes (or maybe just the extra-large ear wax candles) of Shrek’s daughter in Shrek 5!
Of course, the OGs are back too—Mike Myers will once again bring his signature Scottish growl as Shrek, Cameron Diaz is back as Fiona, and Eddie Murphy’s Donkey is ready to steal the show (and probably some waffles).

A teaser dropped on Thursday (February 27), and let’s just say, things got weird. We get our first look at Zendaya’s character, and yep—she’s rocking that classic Fiona red hair. Genetics, baby!
But the real moment of chaos? Donkey, being the absolute menace he is, asks the magic mirror who’s “the fairest of them all.” Innocent enough, right? WRONG. The mirror responds, “Shrek, of course,” and then—brace yourself—starts flashing a slideshow of Shrek in, shall we say, compromising poses. Think ogre boudoir but with more swamp and less shame.
Cue Zendaya’s character screaming, “EW, DAD!”—a reaction every child has when their parents do literally anything. Meanwhile, Fiona? Unbothered. In fact, she approves of the pictures. That’s true love right there.
