Megan Thee Stallion just stormed the black carpet at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards like a hurricane in high heels! The 29-year-old rap goddess didn’t just show up to the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York – no, no – she arrived like the queen she is, ready to snatch awards, perform, and basically run the whole show. Why? Because she’s not just performing, she’s HOSTING! That’s right – she’s doing the most, as per usual.
And the awards started rolling in early! During the pre-show, Megan strutted her stuff and casually picked up a shiny moon person for Best Trending Video for “Mamushi” featuring Yuki Chiba. As if that wasn’t enough, she was basically nominated for everything short of Best Cat Video on YouTube. We’re talking Best Collaboration, Song of the Summer (thanks to “Wanna Be” with GloRilla), Best Hip Hop, Best Direction, Best Visual Effects, and Best Art Direction for her bop “BOA.” At this point, the VMAs should just rename themselves the “Megan Thee Awards.”
When asked about her black carpet look, Megan described it as “hot girl summer meets glamour.” Translation: Prepare to be blown away by fierceness and sparkle. Sunscreen not included.
So if you’re not already glued to your couch, get comfy because the 2024 MTV VMAs are kicking off at 8pm ET/PT on MTV. You don’t want to miss a single second of Megan slaying everything in sight!
