Victoria Justice Reacts to Ariana Grande’s ‘Wicked’ Success—And No, There’s No Feud, People!

Buy Me A Coffee

Victoria Justice is out here proving that she can, in fact, stand beside Ariana Grande and still be supportive. (Yes, we know that meme is still haunting the internet.)

If your memory is as foggy as your WiFi connection during a Zoom call, let’s refresh: Victoria, 32, and Ariana, 31, once roamed the halls of Hollywood Arts High together on the Nickelodeon show Victorious from 2010 to 2013. Fast forward to 2025, and Ariana is now belting her way to Oscar nominations for Wicked—a transformation so impressive it almost makes you forget she started as Cat Valentine, the human embodiment of helium.

While glamming it up at Elton John’s AIDS Foundation 2025 Oscars Viewing Party (a.k.a. the Oscars afterparty where everyone pretends they aren’t mad about losing), Victoria had nothing but love for Ariana’s success.

“I’m so happy for her, she absolutely crushed it,” Victoria gushed to E! News, probably while dodging someone asking if she’d be in a Victorious reboot. She had just witnessed Ariana and Cynthia Erivo open the Oscars with a Wicked performance so powerful it likely caused half the audience to rethink their entire careers.

And for all the Victorious fans still clinging to their 2010 nostalgia, Victoria confirmed that the gang is still texting each other. Yes, the Victorious cast has a group chat, and no, it’s not just “That One Guy From Nickelodeon” sending cryptic messages at 3 a.m.

“There is a text thread. It goes through ebbs and flows of being active,” Victoria revealed. Translation: sometimes it’s popping, and sometimes it’s as dry as a cereal commercial without milk.

“But I think no matter what, we all went through such pivotal points of our lives together,” she added. “Whether or not we’re hanging out all the time, we’re always going to be rooting for one another.”

No drama, no shade—just good vibes and a group chat that may or may not still be called “Hollywood Arts Alumni.”

@enews Victoria Justice agrees, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo made it shine during their #Oscars performance. 🥹 #AwardsSeason ♬ original sound – E! News
