Tom Holland has done it again! No, he hasn’t spoiled the entire plot of Spider-Man 4 (yet), but he has dropped the official title. Get ready for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, swinging into theaters on July 31, 2026. (That’s right, 2026. Looks like someone had a typo there, and honestly, we’ve all been there.)
Tom couldn’t be at 2025 CinemaCon in person because he’s off filming The Odyssey—which, fun fact, is not a Spider-Man movie, despite sounding like a great title for one. But fear not! He sent in a video message, which means we got the next best thing: Tom awkwardly trying not to spoil everything while probably sweating profusely.
What did Tom say?
“I know we left you with a massive cliffhanger at the end of No Way Home,” he admitted. “So Spider-Man: Brand New Day is a fresh start. It is exactly that.” (Translation: The multiverse is probably still a mess, but Peter Parker is going to pretend like it’s fine.)
He also assured us he won’t be dropping any spoilers this time:
“That’s all I can say. That’s all I’ve been allowed to say. And I’m well over the hump of giving away spoilers, so don’t be worried. I’m not going to do that today.”
We’ll see about that, Tom. We. Will. See.
Who’s in?
So far, we know that Zendaya and Jacob Batalon are expected to return, and Stranger Things star Sadie Sink is joining the fun. Could she be playing a fiery new love interest? A secret villain? The multiversal cousin of MJ’s third-grade teacher? Who knows! But if it involves Spider-Man, it’s bound to be epic.
Director Destin Daniel Cretton also weighed in, basically saying he and the crew are having the nerdiest brainstorming sessions ever.
“I’m spending my time exploring the next stage of this amazing character with a team of the most incredible artists in the world,” he shared. “We’re all, just daily, nerding out over the suit, how to swing, how to create an event, an emotional story, and a ride that we haven’t really seen before.”
Tom is doing his best not to spill the beans, the director is geeking out, and we’re all about to embark on a Brand New Day of Spider-Man greatness. Start marking your calendars—2026 will be here before you know it! (Well, kind of.)
