Tina Knowles is spilling all the tea about her daughter Beyoncé finally snatching that elusive Album of the Year award at the 2025 Grammys—because, let’s be real, we all thought the Recording Academy had her on some kind of “never win” list.
The queen mother of the BeyHive appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show on Monday (Feb. 24) to talk about the historic win, and let’s just say, she was just as stunned as the rest of us.
“I was screaming,” Tina confessed, likely scaring everyone within a five-mile radius of Beyoncé’s house. “I was there to help her and Blue get ready. And honestly? I wasn’t expecting it. I was really, really shocked.”
Shocked is an understatement. Tina went on to say that she had to take a moment to process the reality of the situation. “I sat there for a second and didn’t even believe that it was true,” she admitted. “I was sitting with my grandbabies, Rumi and Sir, and we were all just frozen. Then when Beyoncé made that viral ‘is this real life?’ face, I knew. Oh, it’s happening. It’s actually happening.”
But the real scene-stealer of the night? Blue Ivy. Tina revealed that the 12-year-old already had her dad, Jay-Z, in check before he could make one single move. “She basically hit him with a ‘Now Daddy, I need you to stay seated. This is NOT your night. Do not even think about it,’” Tina recalled. And honestly? We believe it.
During her visit to the JHud Show, Tina also plugged her upcoming memoir, Matriarch, shared how she’s out here living her best life, and talked about her latest business venture, Cécred, the haircare line she co-founded with Beyoncé. Because in this family, world domination is just another Tuesday.
