The Weeknd has finally dropped his latest single, “Dancing In The Flames,” which is like a fiery appetizer from his upcoming sixth studio album, Hurry Up Tomorrow. Yes, you heard it right. The Weeknd, also known as Abel Tesfaye (because his mom didn’t name him after a month), has declared that this will be his last hurrah under his stage name. Apparently, he’s planning to retire it like a pair of old sweatpants that have seen better days.
In “Dancing In The Flames,” The Weeknd croons lines like, “I can’t wait to see your face / Crash when we’re switching lanes / My love’s beyond the pain / But if I miss the brake / We’re dancing in the flames / It’s indescribable.” It’s basically a love letter to the chaos of driving while trying to look cool.
And get this: the music video was shot on the brand new iPhone 16 Pro. Because if you’re going to dance in flames, you might as well do it in high definition.
You can catch the music video below on YouTube, or if you’re feeling nostalgic for a simpler time, you can download the song on iTunes.
