Amy Adams is about to become the latest star in a horror comedy that’s furrier than a pack of wild puppies! The first trailer for her new film, “Nightbitch,” has just dropped, and it’s barking mad.
Amy Adams, who’s still dazzling at the ripe age of 50 and has more Oscar nominations than she can count on one hand, stars as a woman who’s convinced she’s morphing into a canine. That’s right—she’s trading in her Oscar statuettes for a dog collar in this tail-wagging rollercoaster.
Directed by Marielle Heller and co-written with Rachel Yoder, who wrote the original book that’s making waves, “Nightbitch” is a tale of an artist who decides to swap her creative career for a stay-at-home mom gig. But wait—her domestic bliss takes a turn for the bizarre when her maternal instincts start to manifest in, you guessed it, a doggone weird way.
The film features a ruff lineup of actors including Scoot MacNairy, Mary Holland, Jessica Harper, Zoë Chao, Ella Thomas, Stacey Swift, Archana Rajan, Adrienne Rose White, Darius De La Cruiz, and Roslyn Gentle. With this cast, you can bet it’ll be a howl.
Initially, “Nightbitch” was supposed to make its debut on Hulu, but Searchlight decided it deserved a proper theatrical release.
Mark your calendars for December 6—this is one movie you won’t want to miss unless you’re a cat person, in which case, maybe consider staying home with a cozy blanket instead!
