‘The Agency’ Trailer Stars Michael Fassbender Getting Caught In A Web Of Lies

Buy Me A Coffee

Michael Fassbender is back, and this time, he’s bringing us a new series so intense it makes Mission Impossible look like a Sunday picnic. The name’s Martian (yes, like the planet), and in The Agency, he’s playing a covert CIA agent whose life goes off the rails faster than a spy in a tux at a Vegas casino.

Love, Lies, and … Espionage?
Here’s the tea: Our boy Martian (played by Fassbender) is called back to London Station after years of doing super-secret spy stuff in god-knows-where. He’s ready to get back to business, but hold the gadgets—because BOOM! His long-lost love waltzes right back into his life. Suddenly, Martian’s got a bigger mission than dismantling terror cells: trying not to blow his own cover while catching feelings.

Now he’s torn—between national security, his secret identity, and that thing we humans call love. Naturally, all of these things collide headfirst, setting him on a dangerous journey of espionage and emotion, or as I like to call it: a romantic comedy… but with sniper rifles.

Star-Studded Cast: Plot Twists & Drama, Guaranteed
Joining Fassbender on this wild ride are some heavy hitters. Jeffrey Wright (who can probably act his way out of a hostage situation with just a glance), Jodie Turner-Smith (radiating “Don’t mess with me” energy), Katherine Waterston, and even Richard Gere—because nothing says “spy thriller” like Richard Gere casually showing up to deliver cryptic lines in dimly lit rooms.

And because they couldn’t resist going full British, Downton Abbey’s Hugh Bonneville makes an appearance too. I can only assume he plays a posh guy with impeccable manners who’s up to something fishy—because let’s be real, that’s what he does best.

As for the supporting cast? Oh, they’ve got everyone from John Magaro to India Fowler and Reza Brojerdi—basically, it’s a lineup big enough to run its own spy agency.

When and Where to Watch
Clear your calendars and prep the popcorn because The Agency is dropping its first two episodes on Friday, November 29, exclusively on Paramount+ with Showtime. You’ll want to be ready—because this isn’t just any premiere. This is a “stay up way too late because the cliffhanger will ruin your sleep” kind of binge.

Trailer Time!
And if you’re still on the fence, the trailer’s ready to charm you into submission faster than Fassbender’s smirk. Watch it below… unless you hate thrilling international intrigue, in which case, what are you even doing here?

Spies, romance, and a crisis of identity. Think James Bond meets The Notebook, but with more gunfights and fewer rain-soaked love letters. You’re welcome.
