During the epic night at Crypto.com Arena (still the most futuristic name for a stadium that does not sell spaceships), Janelle Monáe took the stage for a Michael Jackson tribute and went full “Smooth Criminal” on us. While belting out Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough to honor the late Quincy Jones, Janelle did what every pop star dreams of—dramatically yeeting her jacket into the crowd.
And who, out of all the people in the audience, ended up with this sacred piece of Grammy history? None other than Taylor “Right Place, Right Time” Swift.
Like a musical Cinderella whose glass slipper is actually a designer jacket, Taylor snatched that thing out of thin air and, in true Swiftie fashion, decided it was now hers. Instead of handing it off to security or, you know, Janelle, she just put it on and rocked it for the rest of the night—as if she’d planned the whole thing.
