Storm Reid has officially said boy, bye to Euphoria, and honestly? It’s giving bittersweet.
The 21-year-old actress, who played Rue’s long-suffering little sister Gia for two seasons on the HBO hit, confirmed that she will not be making a grand return for Season 3. Yes, you heard that right—Gia is out, and she’s taking her emotional support hoodie with her.
In a recent interview, Storm got real about her Euphoria exit and reassured us that her sisterly bond with Zendaya is stronger than Rue’s questionable decision-making skills.
“That’s my sister before *Euphoria* and after,” she told Variety>. “That’s gonna be my sister for life, so I’m sure we’ll work together again one day in some capacity.”
Basically, Zendaya and Storm are ride-or-die. Someone get them a buddy comedy, a crime thriller, or at least a joint skincare collab.
As for Euphoria, Storm had nothing but love:
“I love Gia. I loved being able to embody her and give her life,” she shared, making us all emotional. “I’m really excited for Season 3. I know they’re going to do something special and it’s going to be good.”
So while we won’t see Gia dodging Rue’s chaos this season, we can rest easy knowing that Storm is off thriving—and probably avoiding late-night, anxiety-inducing monologues from her TV big sis.
RIP to Gia’s patience. We will miss you.
