In what can only be described as the most wholesome Halloween takeover since pumpkin spice became a personality trait, Heartthrob Extraordinaire Shawn Mendes hit the streets of Los Angeles for some classic trick-or-treating shenanigans. And yes, you read that right—trick-or-treating. The man didn’t just casually observe Halloween from afar; he fully committed, headband and all, to the costume life.
Dressed as a ninja, Shawn was practically unrecognizable—okay, who are we kidding, the man could be in a neon unicorn onesie, and we’d still know it’s him from a mile away. He was rocking an all-black ensemble with a headband, probably inspired by every martial arts movie he watched growing up, plus a fake sword. Because, let’s be real, Los Angeles has enough drama without “Shawn Mendes accidentally injuring someone with his Halloween prop” hitting the headlines.
And of course, who else would be alongside him for this ninja-night-out but Dr. Jocelyne Miranda, his go-to chiropractor and close buddy. The good doctor was ready to get in on the action herself, posing with a sword (also fake, for safety reasons) to fully embrace this Halloween absurdity. Some might say she was just there to keep Shawn’s trick-or-treating posture in top form—because lugging around a candy haul can be murder on the back.
As they bounced from house to house, we can only imagine the conversations. Did Shawn go for the mini Reese’s, or was he more of a Snickers guy? Did Dr. Miranda show him the proper stretch for lifting a full-size candy bar? These are the burning questions.
Halloween had some top-tier entertainment this year, courtesy of our resident ninja, Shawn Mendes, and his trusty sidekick in spinal alignment, Dr. Miranda. If the whole music thing doesn’t pan out, he might just have a future in ninja cosplay.
