Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are out here doing what power couples do best—promoting their new collaborative album I Said I Love You First! (Which, honestly, sounds like a passive-aggressive text message, but we love it.)
The lovebirds were spotted leaving NBC Studios after filming The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday night (March 20) in NYC, probably dodging paparazzi while still trying to look effortlessly cool.
They also popped up on Wednesday night at a Spring Breakers screening, surprising fans by playing some unreleased music—because nothing says spring break like Selena Gomez and a fiancé-approved sneak peek.
Selena’s Mortifying Taylor Swift Party Experience
In a new interview on Spotify’s Countdown To series, Selena and Benny spilled the tea about attending one of Taylor Swift’s famously exclusive parties. Turns out, the night was a disaster… in a very Selena Gomez kind of way.
“As a couple, we went to Taylor’s party after some awards show,” Selena said, probably trying to block out the memory. “I don’t know, it was kind of cute, but I was mortified.”
And why? Not because she knocked over a Grammy or accidentally called Taylor’s cat by the wrong name—but because she and Benny showed up on time.
Apparently, in celebrity world, that’s a cardinal sin.
“Apparently cool people don’t show up to parties on time,” she admitted.
Benny then roasted her in real-time, saying, “We’re the first people at every single party when I go with you. You, like, show up when my mother shows up to a party.”
(AKA, before the chips and dip have even hit the table.)
But wait, the awkwardness didn’t stop there!
Benny also reminded her that, at the time, they were still keeping their relationship under wraps. So not only were they the first ones there, but they also had to pretend they weren’t even a couple.
“I thought you were going to talk about the fact that no one knew we were dating and we were hiding it,” Benny said. “So we didn’t even, like, touch each other or, like, really look at each other.”
Imagine showing up to a party way too early, standing awkwardly in the corner, and pretending you don’t know your own fiancé. That’s next-level cringe.
