Sean Kingston, known for making waves with catchy tunes like “Beautiful Girls,” is now in the spotlight for a different reason—he’s trading his music career for a new gig as an alleged wire fraudster. Yep, you heard that right.
Recently, Kingston and his mom, Janice Turner, found themselves in the courtroom instead of the concert hall. The dynamic duo appeared in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, after being accused of masterminding a wire fraud scheme so elaborate it sounds like it was cooked up during a long family game of Monopoly.
They’ve been charged with swindling a bunch of entities out of millions, all to support their “fabulous” lifestyles. Despite their claims of innocence, they seemed to be very camera-shy post-hearing. They practically sprinted to their car, making their getaway look like a scene straight out of a heist movie.
Check out the action below.
Kingston, at 34, is facing a whopping 10 counts, while his mom, Turner, has 8 counts to her name. If things don’t go their way, they could each be looking at a 20-year vacation—behind bars.
So, stay tuned: the next season of “Sean Kingston: The Legal Drama” might just be the most thrilling episode yet!
