It’s time for the grand extravaganza known as Commonwealth Day, and the royal crew is out in full force!
Behold! Prince William, Queen Camilla, and the rest of the Royal Family graced Westminster Abbey with their majestic presence on Monday (March 11) in jolly ol’ London town. It was like a scene straight out of a Shakespearean comedy, complete with regal robes and probably some awkward curtsying.
Prince Edward, Sophie (Duchess of Edinburgh), Princess Anne, Birgitte (Duchess of Gloucester), and Prince Richard also made their grand entrance, ensuring that the royal quota for fabulous hats and dignified waves was met.
In case you’ve been living under a rock (or in a quaint cottage without Wi-Fi), Commonwealth Day is the annual bash where all the cool countries in the British Commonwealth of Nations get together for a shindig of epic proportions. Think of it as the United Nations, but with fancier accents and a strict dress code.
And in a plot twist worthy of a royal soap opera, Prince William decided to make a grand entrance of his own, just hours after his dear wife Kate Middleton got herself into a spot of bother. Apparently, she had the audacity to publish an edited photo of herself and their royal brood, causing a stir in the kingdom. Oh, the scandal! But fear not, dear subjects, for all was surely forgiven in the presence of such splendor and pomp at Westminster Abbey.
