Pete Davidson, the guy who’s made you laugh until your sides hurt, has decided to hit the pause button on life and check into a wellness facility. Yep, the king of late-night chuckles is taking a little break to give his noggin some much-needed TLC.
According to a report from *People* (because where else would you find this news?), our beloved 30-year-old comedian decided on a wellness pit stop this past Wednesday (July 31). Apparently, after 200+ stand-up shows, enough film projects to make Spielberg sweat, and the release of his second Netflix comedy special, *Turbo Fonzarelli*—which sounds like a turbocharged Italian dish—Pete realized it was time to take a breather.
Now, before you panic and start Googling “Is Pete Davidson okay?” let me assure you: mental health has always been his priority. A source close to the situation (probably someone who’s seen Pete’s Google search history) says that he’s been very open about his struggles. We’re talking sobriety battles, borderline personality disorder, and PTSD—basically the trifecta of things that make you go, “Oh, that’s why he’s so funny!”
And guess what? His friends and family are super proud of him! Like, “You go, Pete!” proud. They’re cheering him on as he continues to focus on keeping his mind as sharp as his comedy.
In case you missed it, Pete last checked into treatment back in summer 2023. (You know, when we were all figuring out how to wear masks without fogging up our glasses.) He did it to tackle that pesky PTSD and borderline personality disorder once more. So, we’re sending Pete all the good vibes, hoping he comes out of this wellness facility even stronger, funnier, and maybe with some new material about how wellness centers are just adult sleepaway camps.
Here’s to Pete and his ongoing mental health journey—because the world needs more laughs, and Pete’s got plenty more to give!
