Penn Badgley just upgraded from Netflix star to music video sensation by strutting his stuff in Ariana Grande’s latest visual masterpiece!
The 37-year-old heartthrob, known for his role in *You*, flipped the script and got a taste of his own medicine as the one being stalked in the music video for “The Boy Is Mine” from the 30-year-old pop sensation’s fresh-off-the-press album *Eternal Sunshine*.
After the video dropped, Penn hopped on Instagram to shower everyone with gratitude for letting him join the fun.
“The boy may be yours but the pleasure was all mine, @arianagrande. Thank you for inviting me into your orbit for a moment & @christhedirector for building a little world to play in for a day. Hey ma, I’m in a music video! And in the presence of @brandy and @monicadenise?? Honored to be alongside these icons ❤️❤️” he captioned a set of behind-the-scenes photos.
Director Christian Breslauer was all praises, commenting, “One of the greatest I’ve had the pleasure to step in front of my lens. Thank you times a million @pennbadgley 🙌🏽”
Making this music video a nostalgia bomb, Brandy and Monica, the original queens of “The Boy Is Mine,” also made cameos, reminding us that this epic tune dropped a whopping 26 years ago!
