Nicole Kidman And Reese Witherspoon Discuss Season 3 Of ‘Big Little Lies’

Buy Me A Coffee

Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon have fantastic news for all you Big Little Lies enthusiasts.

Can you believe it’s been a whopping five years since the second season of this addictive HBO series graced our screens in 2019? Well, Nicole, being the mischievous minx she is, dropped a hint last year about a possible new season. And guess what? The rumor mill is true!

In a recent chat, the dynamic duo gave us the lowdown and shared a hilarious tale of how Nicole’s little spoiler frenzy sent the whole cast into a tizzy.

Chatting with Vanity Fair, Reese couldn’t help but poke fun at Nicole for blabbing.

“Listen, this one couldn’t keep her lips zipped,” she joked. “Next thing I know, my phone’s blowing up… ring-ring: ‘Hey, is that actually happening?’ Nic, you got a bit too excited there!”

She went on, spilling the beans that their costars, including the fabulous Laura Dern, were buzzing with questions after Nicole’s big reveal.

“I got excited, okay?” Nicole confessed.

But now, she’s thrilled to confirm that the new season is indeed on its way.

“We’re moving at lightning speed, and Liane [Moriarty] is on fire with the book. We’re in great shape,” she shared.

However, Nicole decided to play it coy with the juicy details, saying, “There’s this whole belief that you should never blab about something until it’s actually done. Because if you do, it’s like your brain thinks you’ve already done it. It’s all about the dopamine hit, people.”

Reese chimed in with her golden rule, saying she lives by the “No BS” code in Hollywood.

“It’s called the ‘No BS rule’ out here. Because seriously, how many times do people say they’re doing this and that and this and that? It’s like, I don’t want to confirm anything until I’m literally in costume on set. Then I’ll tell you it’s happening because, trust me, it’s pretty hard to stop things once you’re in costume on set.”
