New Trailer For ‘The Penguin’ Starring Colin Farrell On Max

Buy Me A Coffee

Holy waddling wonders, Batman! Colin Farrell is back, and this time, he’s got his flippers full with a whole series about everyone’s favorite flightless fowl—the Penguin! After rubbing shoulders with Robert Pattinson’s moody Bat-dude in 2022’s “The Batman,” our beak-nosed baddie is spreading his wings (metaphorically, of course) in an all-new spinoff. Max, clearly not afraid of bird-themed puns, ordered this egg-citing series that dives beak-first into the Penguin’s Gotham shenanigans.

Brace yourselves for an eight-episode squawk-fest that picks up right where the movie left off. It’s like “The Batman” never ended—just switched gears to focus on a more waddling, monocle-wearing kind of menace.

Max just dropped a teaser trailer on Thursday (June 20), and it’s juicier than a bucket of fresh fish. The Penguin, ever the drama king, declares, “Carmine Falcone is dead, and I’m here now. I’ll be calling the shots,” to Salvatore “The Boss” Maroni (played by the ever-intimidating Clancy Brown) while visiting him in prison. He adds, “The Falcones are still licking their wounds. They’re distracted. Their business will be ripe for the taking.” Translation: Get ready for some seriously feathery foul play.

But wait, there’s more! The series boasts a star-studded cast that’s the cat’s pajamas (or should we say the bat’s belfry?). Joining Colin and Clancy are Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone, Rhenzy Feliz as Victor Aguilar, and Michael Kelly as Johnny Viti. Plus, Shohreh Aghdashloo as Nadia Maroni, Deirdre O’Connell as Francis Cobb, James Madio as Milos Grapa, Scott Cohen as Luca Falcone, Michael Zegen as Alberto Falcone, Carmen Ejogo as Eve Karlo, and Theo Rossi as Dr. Julian Rush. It’s practically a Gotham reunion party, and everyone’s invited!
